For 22 years, my world was finance — structured, stable, and predictable. In 2002, life invited me onto a different path when I stepped away from my career to care for my young son. As I supported him through health challenges, I found myself asking a simple but powerful question:

What helps people maintain their energy, resilience, and sense of wellbeing through life's ups and downs?


That question sparked a journey of learning that continues to this day.

I pursued training in Traditional Chinese Massage, Anatomy, and Physiology, and began exploring how daily habits, rest, movement, nutrition, and emotional wellbeing influence the way we feel. The more I learned, the more I realized that wellness is not about perfection — it is about creating conditions that allow us to function at our best.

Life itself became my greatest teacher.

Over the years, I navigated my own periods of physical imbalance and inflammation. I walked alongside family members through cancer, sudden illness, and loss. In 2017, I had the privilege of supporting an acquaintance on their wellness journey. In 2018, I experienced the profound loss of my husband.

Each chapter deepened my appreciation for the interconnected nature of our wellbeing. I witnessed how emotional health can affect energy, how stress can influence daily life, and how support, hope, and meaningful habits can help people move forward, even during difficult seasons.

These experiences shaped the heart of Bloom & Balance.

Today, my focus is not on quick fixes or complicated solutions. Instead, I believe in helping people build a strong foundation through simple, sustainable practices that support everyday wellbeing. I believe that when people feel informed, encouraged, and supported, they are better equipped to care for themselves and navigate life's challenges with greater confidence.

My role is not to diagnose, treat, or cure medical conditions. Rather, I aim to provide education, encouragement, and a supportive space where individuals can learn about lifestyle practices that contribute to overall wellbeing.

At Bloom & Balance, I share what life has taught me: that wellness is a journey, balance is personal, and it is never too late to make small changes that support a fuller, more vibrant life.

How I Stay Well

I believe that a meaningful life starts with a healthy foundation.

Wellness, to me, is not about chasing perfection. It is about consistently caring for the body, mind, and spirit so that we can show up fully for the people and purposes that matter most.

Here are some of the practices that help me stay well:


Move Daily

Whether it's a walk, a workout, stretching, or even a spontaneous dance break, I make movement part of every day. Regular movement helps me maintain energy, mobility, and a positive outlook.


Eat Simply

I focus on real, nourishing foods whenever possible. Plenty of water, vegetables, balanced meals, and mindful eating help support my daily wellbeing.


Prioritise Rest

Quality sleep is one of the most valuable investments I can make in myself. I aim for 7–8 hours each night and treat rest as an essential part of wellness, not a luxury.


Care for My Mind

Gratitude, prayer, reflection, and intentional breaks from screens help me stay grounded and present. Creating moments of quiet allows me to reconnect with what truly matters.


Stay Connected

Meaningful relationships bring joy, perspective, and support. I value spending time with family, friends, and community, and I believe connection is an important part of living well.


Serve Others

One of the greatest sources of fulfilment in my life is helping others. Supporting someone through a challenge, offering encouragement, or simply listening reminds me that wellbeing grows stronger when it is shared.

I don't believe wellness is about doing everything perfectly. It is about taking small, consistent steps each day that help us live with greater energy, balance, and purpose.

And that is a journey worth taking at any age.
